Cajun Pork Chops
Cajun Pork Chops Cajun Pork Chops
In this quick and easy recipe, pork chops are rubbed with a homemade cajun seasoning.
SERVES: 8
PREP TIME: 10 Minutes
COOK TIME: 15 Minutes
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. Paprika
1 tsp. seasoned salt
1 tsp. sage
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
8 lean pork chops, 1/2-inch thick
1 Tbsp.Crisco Oil


Directions
Step 1  Step 1:
Combine paprika, seasoned salt, sage, cayenne pepper, black pepper and garlic powder in a shallow dish. Add meat, and coat on both sides with seasoning mix. If you're grilling: mix oil with seasonings to marinate for 45 min to 1hr.
 
Step 2  To Pan-Fry::
Heat large nonstick skillet with crisco on high heat. Add meat. Reduce heat to medium,and cook 6 to 8 minutes per side or until dark brown.
 
Step 3  To Grill::
Heat grill to high. Add meat. Thin chops cook super- fast! Flip at about 2 to 2.5 minutes for thin chops. Close lid and let grill for approximately another 2 minutes. Remove from grill.

Note: if you're grilling thicker chops, this will take longer: sear meat for a minute on high, flip the chop, then turn down your grill. Cover to continue slow cooking process and grill until done.
 
Step 4  Step 4:
Serve with Steamed green beans and Four cheese mashed potatoes. Also nice with a salad.
